About This Event

If selling your work is the part of running your business you can never quite get comfortable with — this workshop is for you.

Most small business owners with values aren’t out here using high-pressure tactics or manufactured urgency.

The opposite problem is way more common: sales feels so gross and so at odds with who you are that you avoid it almost entirely. You undersell, you over-explain, you talk too much about your offer and not enough about the person in front of you — and then you cross your fingers and hope it didn’t go as poorly as you think it did. Meanwhile, the people who actually needed what you do never quite got there.
Here’s the thing: the antidote to gross, pushy sales is not no sales. It’s a different kind of sales entirely.

This 90-minute workshop is about what happens in the space between “they found you” and “they paid you” — and how to move through that space in a way that feels like a real conversation between two people who are both genuinely interested in being there. When your marketing is doing its job, the sales process gets short, consensual, and almost easy. You’re not convincing anyone of anything. You’re mostly just asking good questions and listening — and if it’s a fit, you both know it.

We’ll cover the real difference between marketing and sales, how trust actually gets built, and where selling is already happening in your business — on calls, in your newsletter, in Instagram DMs, on your website, in a conversation after a talk. We’ll look at two frameworks for running a sales conversation where you’re listening way more than you’re talking, and how to write about what you do in a way that feels honest and human rather than like a billboard.

No pressure. No scripts. No convincing. Just the tools to actually follow through on the work you’ve already done to get people’s attention
