Workshops:

March 30: Being a Steward of Workplace Culture

What are the elements of Workplace Culture, and what impacts it (positively and negatively)? Just as important, what role do YOU, as a leader in your organization, play in influencing the culture at work? Through lots of interactive learning we not only deepen our understanding of these dynamics, we also learn take-back-to-work tools. The environments of our workplace are entirely the result of choices and actions each of us make, let’s be good stewards of them!

April 13Discovering and Enhancing your Leadership Style(s)

Being a Manager or a Supervisor means leading people. What makes a great leader? What is your style of leadership? In this workshop you will learn effective leadership strategies to guide and motivate your employees. This workshop helps leaders, new and veteran, increase their confidence to lead others by building on their current level of knowledge and skills when it comes to developing employees, coordinating projects, delegating duties, and managing logistics. Become a more agile leader by learning more ways to lead.

April 27Giving Effective Performance Feedback

Do you cringe when you hear the words, “performance feedback?” Are you a “no news is good news” kind of boss? This workshop is for YOU! Created for Supervisors and Managers, we will cover why effective performance feedback is vital to a successful organization AND provide practical strategies for giving employees praise and criticism. Great bosses help employees be great at what they do and guidance is essential to this. We probably won’t make you love giving an employee criticism, but we WILL give you clear and effective tools to do it.

May 11Dealing with Difficult Behaviors at Work

Do you have a 20/80 problem? As in 20% of your employees are consuming 80% of your time? Most of the time, most of the people you work with are on track and things are going smoothly. But then there are the exceptions. This workshop will provide strategies and tools to help you change patterns that disrupt others, diminish productivity, and deplete morale. This workshop will have lots of “hands on” opportunities for those who want it, so bring actual situations you are facing (sample scenarios will also be used).

May 25Leading Teams and Groups of People

A team is more than just a group of individuals. Teams have their own life-cycles and needs. Harnessing and guiding the talent and energy of a group takes its own unique set of skills, as does helping that group navigate through challenges and conflicts. This interactive workshop offers leaders of teams tools and strategies necessary for to achieve results by helping members align their work toward common goals, making conflicts productive, and developing a high degree of trust.

The series meets via Zoom, Wednesday mornings 8:30-10:30 am, over the course of five, two- hour sessions, spaced two weeks apart. If you cannot attend all dates but want to participate in the series, let us know and we can talk about options to “make up” a workshop.
