Experts widely agree that companies should look to increase their marketing during a recession or during times such as the one we are facing now because of the Coronavirus. Why? Because companies who do marketing now will typically come out of the downturn or difficult times ahead of their competitors who cut back or completely stopped marketing because they are top-of-mind to the target market and have been focused on building brand awareness and defining their message.  

Guerrilla Marketing is an effective, low-cost marketing method that many small businesses can use to reach their market that will enable them to hit the ground running when the bad times are over. Joe Walker Marketing Services is going to provide this presentation/workshop to discuss the overall concept of marketing your small business and some of these methods, then open the floor up for a Q&A to give attendees a chance to potentially build some collaboration using guerrilla marketing.

About the Instructor

Joe Walker has been teaching Business Management, Marketing and Hospitality/Travel & Tourism at the post-secondary level for the past 21 years. During that time Joe has developed a passion and strong understanding of what motivates consumers in their purchase decisions.  

Joe also has “real-world” experience as a business owner, having successfully owned and operated a sole proprietorship, a partnership that was incorporated and as a franchise owner. These experiences give him an understanding of human resources, marketing, business plans, marketing plans and advertising/promotional campaigns. 

Additionally, he is a past President of Monadnock Travel Council and currently serves on the Board of Directors for both New Hampshire Travel Council (NHTC) and Granite State Ambassadors (GSA), two NH based non-profit organizations whose goal is to promote and increase travel and tourism in the state.
