About This Event

Grants can open the door to new projects, early-stage ventures, and community innovations—but navigating the process can feel overwhelming. This hands-on workshop offers a clear, supportive introduction to how grants work, how to match your idea with a funding source, and how to begin drafting a strong proposal. It’s designed for entrepreneurs of all kinds—including innovators developing new products, science-based or biotech founders, community problem-solvers, and anyone curious about how grants operate. You’ll leave with concrete tools, a better sense of the process, and greater confidence in taking your next steps.

The workshop includes a mix of instruction, guided writing, and peer feedback. Participants may attend in person at the Hannah Grimes Center (recommended for the most interactive experience) or virtually if distance or schedules make travel difficult. All are welcome—no prior grant-writing experience required.
