The Hannah Grimes Center invites you to be the first to hear about an exciting opportunity for the Monadnock Region. 

Along with a group of advisors since 2017, Hannah Grimes has embraced the role of laying a foundation to support biotech entrepreneurs who are looking for an innovative, supportive, connected and vibrant community in which to start and grow their business. 

We call this “BioNest”. 

The BioNest program has been waiting for a company to commit to the region and Netherlands-based biotech company, Detact Diagnostics, is considering Keene, NH as its first US site. 

The Company was founded in 2014 when it developed a novel bacterial detection platform that is truly innovative, highly sensitive, specific and fast (seconds-minutes) that lends itself to application development in healthcare and food. It could be used on-site at farms to offer a low-cost way to test for bacteria in things like milk, cider, and on vegetables. It can also be used in medical settings to provide faster, easier, cheaper results that can offer a more effective solution, for example, post-op infections in knee replacement patients.

We are excited to share the opportunity with you to see what this could bring to Keene.
