Your idea is precious to you and you hope will be worth something in the marketplace. One is never sure until you gather information from the marketplace. This event is about easy things you can do to protect your ideas and products before sharing your ideas with others. The purpose of this workshop is to have the entrepreneur/inventor understand what should be in place for protecting their inventions or goods before attending trade shows, talking to anyone, whether potential investors or friends or placing content on the internet. Upon completing the workshop, the attendee will understand formal and informal ways to protect their intellectual property such as how to use copyright and trademark notices, how a provisional patent application would work for their invention and the power of a federally registered trademark when marketing and advertising especially on the internet.

** Registration required prior to the workshop
